Designed by Dr. Roger Mugford, the Halti Harness has a unique
patented front attachment system that controls the dog from his chest and shoulders; an effective point of control. The Haiti Hamess stops pulling, calms over-boisterous dogs and simplifies training and behavioural therapy.
The benefit is that it gives total control over the dog's shoulders and thus sets the direction in which he can move.
Best used in conjunction witlh the double ended Haiti Training Lead, linked to both the chest and shoulder rings of the harness. The specially padded design is extremely comfortable for the dog to wear and is suitable for all breeds
of dog.
The new, patented Halti Harness is available in three sizes: small, medium and large, comes with a free comprehensive training guide.
Easy fitting guide:
| 1: Fitting the Halti Harness |

Place harness over dog's head

Clip belly straps together

Attach harness dip to your dog's normal collar
| |
| 2: Adjustment |

Adjust main strap round the girth. This should lay flat on the dog and be fairly snug, however you should be able to get
two lingers under the strap

Adjust front sections equally on both sides - (ensure that clip sits centrally) Strap should be snug, allowing two fingers underneath
| |
| 3: Attaching Lead |

Small clip should be attached to the front ring of the harness

Large clip should be attached on the back of the ring
| |
How to use:
Ensure the harness is fitted correctly, by comparing it with the photographs above. The 5 adjustment points enable a perfect fit for every size or shape of dog.
Training with your dog can begin the moment you put the harness on; it is not necessary to have an adapting period and he will not struggle to remove this uniquely comfortable design. You can use a single lead on the chest ring, but best results are obtained using a double ended training lead, such as tne 'Halti Traing Lead' 2m design. Then develop a 2-handed technique, as shown in the pictures below.
You will soon find that your dog slows down when you tighten the lead to the chest-ring as this exerts a sideways steering action, but will speed up again when you tighten the lead to the back ning, as this creates a natural opposition reflex. Having two points of contact with a dog are always better than one for both safety and physical management. By slightly lifting on the back ring, you can more easily turn your dog by the front ring, a simple but powerful concept.
Research at the Company ofAnimals' Animal Behaviour Centre shows that the Halti Harness calms a frightened or over stimulated dog by the "body wrap" principle first described by Linda Tellington Jones. A snug fit promotes a sense of body security, making a worried dog a happy dog.
