Ever wondered why Rubber Chickens are so popular? In case you're not old enough to remember they were immortalised in the 1980's show Spitting Images. A satirical puppet show, the writer's penned a strange little ditty called the 'Chicken Song' whilst the latex characters - notably important politicians and royal family members waved rubber chickens around - and the chorus? Altogether now:

"Hold a chicken in the air, stick a deck-chair up your nose
