The Pet Corrector emits an inert gas (like fresh air) that causes a hiss sound to interrupt undesirable behaviour. Snakes, insects and birds such as geese use the hiss sound to drive off predators and our domesticated pets have the same sensitivity to this sound.

Situations in which the Pet Corrector can be used include: unwanted barking, jumping up, stealing food, place avoidance, aggression.

It can be used for dogs and cats, however, cats are more sensitive to the hiss sound and the unit should be used a greater distance, say 5-20 metres, as opposed for one metre for most dogs.

Do's when using the Pet Corrector:

DO: Test your pet's sensitivity, operate at a distance greater than one metre.
DO: Direct the spray above your pet's head, NOT directly towards it.
DO: Only use the Pet Corrector to interrupt a serious misdemeanor.
DO: Timing is crucial. It should only be used when the misbehaviour is occuring. Ensure you reward your pet when the misbehaviour stops.
DO: Use the Pet Corrector for the shortest time needed. The cannister will chill with prolonged use.
DO: Work on correcting one behaviour at a time.

Don't's when using the Pet Corrector:

DON'T: Never allow a child to operate the cannister.
DON'T: Point the cannister directly towards your pet's face.
